Program Description: Adanta Sexual Assault Resources Center (ASARC) is the regional rape crisis center for the Lake Cumberland Area Development District. ASARC is mandated by Kentucky Revised Statue (KRS) 211.600 and further mandated to provide specific services under the associated Kentucky Administrative Regulation (KAR) 922 KAR 8:010.

The mission of Adanta Sexual Assault Resource Center is to eliminate incidents and effects of sexual and interpersonal violence through education, advocacy, and nonjudgmental confidential support services to victims.

ASARC provides victim-centered support & advocacy to survivors of sexual violence. Services include accompaniment during emergency room hospital exams, information & referrals, counselling and/or therapy, advocacy in legal settings, assistance with Crime Victims Compensation Claims, & much more. ASARC also provides prevention programs through community outreach and education.

Cost: All ASARC services are at no cost to the survivor or their family.

Target Population: ASARC provides victim-centered support & advocacy to survivors of sexual violence. This includes children, adults, and their family & friends.
